UD Las Palmas need a win this Sunday against Real Valladolid to stop their poor run of form. Rubén de la Barrera's side go into the match after losing 3-2 away to SD Eibar and have now dropped out of the playoff places, sitting 11th with 10 points.
The yellow team has managed just one win in their last five games, a record of one victory, one draw and three defeats. Their last success was a 0-1 win at Cádiz in mid-September. Now, with Valladolid visiting, they aim to use home advantage to get back to winning ways. The visitors, meanwhile, arrive in better form after beating Córdoba (3-1) and have eight points, placing them 17th.
Probable lineup
Las Palmas' likely starting eleven would see José Caro in goal. The defence would be formed by Valentín Pezzolesi, Álex Suárez, Giovanni Bonfanti and Enzo Loiodice. The midfield would feature Taisei Miyashiro, Iñaki González and Kirian Rodríguez, with Iván Jaime out wide. The attack would be completed by Manu Fuster and Jesé. Miyashiro is the team's top scorer this season with two goals in seven appearances.
Recent history strongly favours the hosts, who have won four of the last five head-to-head meetings, including a 0-1 win in their last trip to Valladolid in November last year. The match will be played at the Estadio de Gran Canaria at 17:30 Canary Islands time. The full squad and schedule of upcoming fixtures are available on our squad and fixtures pages.
