Girona leads the salary limit table with €35 million. They are closely followed by RCD Mallorca, managed by Luis García, with €34.6 million. Real Oviedo and CD Leganés, the latter coached by Álvaro Morata, share a limit of €20.7 million each. Below Las Palmas sit other direct rivals, such as CD Tenerife, whose limit is €8.7 million, almost nine million less than the yellow team's.
At the opposite end of the scale is Almería, coached by Xavi García Pimienta, with the league's lowest limit of €3.9 million. Granada and Real Valladolid also operate with limits around four million. This salary cap, calculated by LaLiga, includes players' fixed and variable wages, Social Security contributions, collective bonuses, acquisition costs - including agent commissions - and the amortisation of transfer fees over the length of contracts.
Current sporting context
This economic margin comes during a positive sporting period for the team. UD Las Palmas currently sits second in the Segunda División table, with 10 points from five games. Their record is three wins, one draw, and one defeat, with a recent run of form reading WDLWW.
