UD Las Palmas secures its first win of the season with a 94th-minute winner from Sandro Ramírez against Albacete. The striker earns the first win for the yellow team after Albacete had equalized and frozen the Estadio de Gran Canaria.

Life is for those who want to live it. There are always misfortunes and complicated moments. Stages that mark and forge personalities. And football owed a feat like this to Sandro Ramírez. After a year full of calamities and in which he even thought of giving up, he appeared in the league debut of UD Las Palmas to score the winning goal against Albacete, which had equalized and frozen the Estadio de Gran Canaria just before.

Jesé opened the gate, San Bartolomé tied, and Sandro touched the sky once again. Everyone was warned. This UD Las Palmas was going to be bold and brave. And they enjoyed the attack. In their league debut, and despite the infinite number of important absences, Rubén de la Barrera came out with everything he had, gathering Jesé and Jefté, although the latter had to position himself a bit more to the left of what he was used to.

He also bet on Pezzolesi as an emergency left-back, but soon had to change sides because Marvin Park's gas didn't last ten minutes. He fell injured and Bonfanti came on. The rest of the eleven, with Caro under the sticks; Álex Suárez and Herzog in the center of defense; Kirian and Sergio Ruiz fueling the machine room; Miyashiro on the right wing and Manu Fuster as the artist in the midfield.

From start to finish, the UD wanted to be the protagonist. And, indeed, when no one had broken a sweat yet, Fuster had already warned with a left-footed shot that hit the post after a good Jefté pass. Between comings and goings, Albacete also tried Caro, and arrived the first goal shout of the 2026-27 season in Siete Palmas.

Jesé opens the gate and starts his statistics for the 2026-27 season with a beautiful collective play. It couldn't be anyone else than Jesé Rodríguez who started the scoring for Las Palmas. Fuster led, lifted his head and, while everyone was waiting for a center, found Miyashiro inside, who floated inside the defended square by Diego Mariño. The Japanese passed to Jesé, who with a flat and subtle shot, crossed to score the 1-0 in the 21st minute of the game.

As the minutes passed, the dominance was absolute. The UD had the ball where and how they wanted it. Kirian directed the orchestra and Fuster led each island attack. In the 37th minute, Jesé made a mistake by shooting at goal a ball that Jefté was also in a good position to shoot, but this second one was in a legal position. The goal was annulled by clear offside of Jesé.

Las Palmas was having fun and the public was doing the same from the stands. Miyashiro was bringing down the ball from the sky, showing off his exquisite technique, and each island attack seemed like it could end up in Mariño's net. Albacete didn't smell it, getting frustrated between pass and pass of the team directed by Rubén de la Barrera. Behind, Suárez and Herzog looked good to keep the Manchegans' attackers at bay. Bonfanti, too, was very reliable in taking the ball and even joined the attack when he thought it was the right moment.

At the break, the UD was governing the score (1-0) by the minimum but with overwhelming sensations. By the game, by the intensity and by feeling clearly superior, the UD went to the break with the feeling that they were going to win. And so it was. In the 94th minute, Sandro Ramírez appeared in the right place at the right time to score the winning goal and spark madness in UD Las Palmas.
