Rejection of the Celtic Offer

UD Las Palmas President Miguel Ángel Ramírez confirmed to Tinta Amarilla that goalkeeper Dinko Horkas has requested his transfer. However, Ramirez was clear: 'Dinko Horkas is a player of UD Las Palmas and he has asked to leave the club. The team will not let him go because the offer we have now is not attractive to the club.'

Negotiation Difficulties

Ramirez's statements show an increasing tension between the player and his club. Horkas has expressed that it will be difficult for him to continue with Las Palmas, as he received a Saudi Arabian offer that he considered crucial for his future. However, these expectations are not shared by the management.

Ramirez added: 'If he doesn’t want to play, he can still help us mark the pitch or put up the nets. He has a contract with UD Las Palmas and will stay at the club if the offer he has does not meet our expectations.'

Economic Differences

The parties are discussing an amount of five million euros, but Celtic is offering four million to be paid over four years. UD Las Palmas is asking for five million and a 50% share of any future transfer fee.

These economic differences make the agreement more difficult to finalize. The president has confirmed that Celtic's offer is real, but they will need to improve both the value and structure of the contract if they want to bring Horkas to Glasgow.
